Infusionsoft helps you automate your marketing and sales all from within one unique tool. It serves as an email marketing solution plus allows for the creation of order forms to take payments and even set-up complex shopping carts if you have multiple products.

Overview

Who Infusionsoft is For:

Infusionsoft is for small business owners including course creators who have seen some success and are looking to increase their profits. Alternately, if you’re just starting out and don’t mind spending the money for this tool, then it may be a good fit for you.

Skill Level:

While Infusionsoft does the job of several tools all-in-one, it is complex to use. While it may only take you part of a day to get started with most email marketing tools and an hour to slap on a PayPal order form, there’s a steep learning curve when it comes to using this software. That’s why they require the purchase of a Kickstart training packages with the purchase of any plan. In addition, there are numerous third party Infusionsoft consultants willing to help you out for a fee if you need more one-on-one time.

Deployment:

You’ll access your Infusionsoft account from an online portal. It’s not exactly mobile friendly, but will work on mobile devices. There’s also an Infusionsoft app to help you manage your contacts on the go.

Special Features:

Infusionsoft is really unique in that it allows you to automate all your email marketing and even your sales all from one dashboard. Campaigns are the heart of this tool. They allow you to tag your contacts and automate specific email sequences all from a drag and drop interface. It’s used by loads of course creators, myself included for around 10 years, and is considered a must-have sales machine by many.

Disadvantages:

With the advancement of many email marketing tools which now also offer tagging and drag and drop interfaces, it is easier to get the automation of Infusionsoft by piecing a few tools together.

In addition, the Infusionsoft order forms are not well optimized for mobile or for high conversions. In fact, you’ll likely need to pay a consultant to help you customize the order forms, or use a tool called Spiffy to get them to convert better and work better on mobile phones. Since Infusionsoft can take payments, higher converting order forms should be a part of their product.
