Who are you and what course have you created?

I created a psychic development course which is on my website. I am also mid-launch of a course to help spiritual people find their purpose and build the confidence to start a business.

What market does your online course serve?

The world is going through such a big energetic shift right now. This is causing huge shifts within people in the form of spiritual awakenings. Many people are having natural spiritual gifts open, extrasensory gifts that, if you don’t understand what is happening to you, can make you feel a bit nuts!

I help these people navigate learn how to safely activate and work with, their natural psychic abilities. I give them practical tools to help them experience powerful psychic breakthroughs and have clear access to higher guidance.

What’s the biggest benefit of taking your course?

The biggest benefit of my particular course is getting to work with a spiritual coach who is down to earth. I don’t do all of the airy-fairy stuff that, unfortunately, takes up a lot of space in the spiritual industry and makes people feel ostracized. This course helps people realize that they are NOT crazy, they are NOT alone and they ARE in control.

Other than that, learning how to be psychic and surf the astral planes is pretty fun!

How did you get into the market?

In early 2020 I went through a very intense trauma-induced awakening that opened up some powerful healing and psychic abilities. Luckily I had some amazing mentors with a combined experience of 60+ years. I learned very quickly how to use them safely to help others.

I was lucky that the right people were guided to me because I couldn’t find anything online to help me. Everything I found came from someone putting on a weird soft voice, waving around feathers, and referring to themselves as a goddess, or a priestess. This massively turned me off and made me feel like I wasn’t a “spiritual person” because I didn’t fit that mold (and didn’t want to!)

This is why I turned my 8 years of coaching experience towards being a different kind of spiritual teacher. Towards teaching spirituality without the BS (the name of my podcast). Towards being a beacon for others, who like me, felt that they didn’t fit in with the spiritual industry, and so weren’t able to access the guidance they desperately needed.

Once I started putting myself out there on social media with videos of my own experience and advice on how to cope with awakening and all these new abilities, people just flocked to me! My inbox is frequently flooded with long messages about other people’s awakening. They usually start or end with “I am so glad I finally found someone who just talks about this stuff normally and I can relate to.”

Why did you decide to create an online course in the first place?

The online course was created, quite honestly, because I hit physical and spiritual burnout. I was doing 1-2-1 healings and coaching sessions due to the number of people needing my help, and me feeling genuinely awful if I had to turn anyone away. After a while, I realized I was mostly saying the same things in the coaching sessions. It seemed everyone coming to see me was going through awakening (whether they realized it or not). I had the ability to record healing sessions that were just as powerful as 1-2-1’s.

I knew a course was the answer, I followed my intuition, regardless of the fact I was worried I wouldn’t know enough. Most of the course came through channeled which is why it ended up so transformative.

Natty Beatts's siteDid you have any moments of doubt before you created/launched it?

I did have huge doubt, imposter syndrome to the max! Here I was having had only 18 months experience as a psychic healer and I was putting out a course to teach others. I was constantly guided by my own guides and higher self that this was the right thing to do, and right up to the pre-launch I was worried no one would even want it.

I trusted in the guidance I was receiving and put out a couple of statuses. I was overwhelmed by the response. This gave me the fire and affirmed that this was really something that was needed.

What’s your online course like?

The course is made up of 5 coaching modules that are just me talking to the camera, no slides, nothing fancy, just me packing in a crap ton of value. Then there are 2 recorded healings and 4 guided psychic meditations. The healings remove layers of blockages on all levels, which clears your psychic channel. The meditations strengthen your psychic channel by guiding you to communicate with your higher self, your ancestors, and your animal spirit guides. These are also videos but they have a black screen so you can just sit or lay down with your eyes closed.

How long did it take you to create your course?

I created the outline of my course and how I was going to deliver it over a 3-day course from GTEX without about 30 other people. This helped me clarify the main areas of my business, choose one area to build a course on, and then decide what I would include.

Entrepreneurs often try and put too many things in their course because they want to put all their knowledge out there, a big part of what I have learned, and what I teach others, is not to overwhelm your clients with too much… Click To Tweet

They may be learning something for the first time, so launch a smaller course and teach it really well, and then follow up with another offering for the next bit of learning.

Tell us a little about the process of launching your course and getting your first sale(s).

I put out statuses and videos on my social media talking about what I was doing and how I could help people and then asked anyone if they would like a call to see what I am creating. I booked 45 calls over 2 weeks and had 37 people sign up. The success of this was down to showing up on social media and just being ME. Showing the good, the bad, and the ugly of my own journey and letting people connect with ME rather than creating a persona or brand that “fit” my target audience.

I stupidly gave myself 30 days to complete and release the course and did all the coaching modules live in a Facebook group I have learned from that insanely exhausting month and I am currently launching a course for spiritual entrepreneurs that I am giving myself more time for.

That first one, I was worried about taking people’s money and not having anything to give them immediately, this was down to not having enough self-belief and value with what I was doing (which is why I now teach this to other entrepreneurs).

If you do your call right, people buy into YOU and what you are doing. They trust you and know that you are going to give them value so they are always happily waiting. -Natty Beatts Click To Tweet

Also, I launch at a lower pre-launch price to say thank you to those who join at that stage.

Do you have a lead magnet?

For my psychic development course, I didn’t need one as I had built up my reputation and trust by showing up on social media and already providing a lot of value.

For my current course for spiritual entrepreneurs, as this is something I am less publicly known for, I put together a free PDF, a simple checklist to see if someone is a lightworker or not. This checklist was followed by long-form sales copy, letting them know that the best way to make a difference in the world is to build a soul-aligned business and how I can help them. I then follow up and book a call to talk them through my course.

What’s the traffic strategy that works best for you?

Showing up consistently on social media, sharing value, and letting my personality shine through rather than being another copycat coach. I can’t stress how much people are desperate to connect with real people, your audience will always connect with you before they connect with what you’re selling.

I post on Instagram 3-7 times a week. I’m on my stories daily just chatting about my life and, to be honest being a bit ridiculous. Humor is always a big part of who I am.

If you can make people FEEL something with your posts, whether that is laughing at your 5th cup of spilled coffee (mercury retrograde) or feeling relief that someone understands what theyre going through, you will build a community… Click To Tweet

What online course platform are you using?

I hired someone to make me a website so it is all done via groove funnels (I’m not very good with tech). I have all my affiliate software set up on there as well although I haven’t yet ventured into signing up affiliates.

Do you like it?

I do love having my own site but it certainly isn’t a necessity to get a course out there. People worry too much about looking flashy and having all their graphic design etc. If anyone reading this has zero budget to outsource and isn’t very good with tech, you can upload coaching videos on youtube as unlisted and then add the links to a PDF to send out to your clients or host them in a Facebook group.

Are there any features you wish it had?

It has everything I need.

What made you decide to use your chosen platform over others?

I chose to outsource as I was already overwhelmed with the workload of creating the course and looking after my clients. The tech side I just needed to hand over.

What other tools do you use to run your online course business?

All I use for my online business is my Instagram page, my YouTube (occasionally for longer videos), my Facebook group, and my VOICE. My voice is the most important tool I have.

What books or training programs have you found useful on your journey to a successful business owner that others might find valuable too?

I found the profile builder challenge from GTEX very useful. They run them for free every few months. This helped me raise and get clear on my message.

Also anything from Les Brown on youtube, I listen to him most mornings to keep me motivated and keep away any creeping negative thoughts. Meditation is also a big help for this.

Do you have any big mistakes you’ve made along the way that you’d be willing to share?

My biggest mistake was trying to over-serve my clients out of a lack of self-belief. This led to me hitting a pretty bad burnout after my first course. It meant that I didn’t have the energy to follow up with another offering for those clients.

If I had to do it again I would have split the course into 2 parts. This would spread the workload and I would have been brave enough to charge more. I was massively undercharging what the course was worth.

This is why working on your own mindset and self-confidence is way more important than what marketing strategy you use. You ARE your business, so look after your energy and never stop working on yourself. -Natty Beatts Click To Tweet

Please share some idea of revenue.

My first launch hit £5k in the first month. The course I am currently launching (which is only £97) has just cleared £1000 in 2 days of calls. I am releasing this low-priced, high-value course so that new clients can build trust in me as a coach. This is a great thing to do if you’re moving into a new area or just starting out.

Please tell us a little about what the money you’ve earned from your course has done for you.

My first course allowed me to pay off my pandemic debt! I lost my whole fitness business when the pandemic hit. While I was going through awakening and re-training as a psychic healer, I had a lot of debt pile up. Becoming debt-free off one course was pretty life-changing. It also massively improved my own sense of self-belief.

In addition to revenue are there any numbers you would like to share?

I am pretty much slow and steady with all that so no radical tips to share 🙂

What has creating your course done for you personally?

It made me realize that I can turn my natural ability for coaching towards absolutely anything that I have learned and am passionate about. Course creating also gives me a huge sense of accomplishment.  I can help so many people better their lives in one go!

Do you have a story of a transformation from any of your clients?

Several of my clients came to me feeling lost, scared, alone, and crazy. They were experiencing things that they couldn’t talk to anyone about, or frustrated that they couldn’t receive clear psychic messages.

I helped create a space that made them feel safe, a little online home where they can express the deepest parts of themselves and share their amazing experiences without judgment. Also, the people that could barely meditate or feel the energy at the start of the course, can now connect with their guides and go on astral journeys similar to those you would expect on a DMT trip, but without the use of psychedelics.

What advice do you have for people just starting out?

Trust in the value that you have to give others and amplify your personality in everything you do. It’s the only truly unique part of your business.

Make sure that whatever you are doing is in alignment with who you are so that you can find flow rather than get stuck in struggle. -Natty Beatts Click To Tweet
