Who are you and what course have you created?

I am CarrieVee (Verrocchio), motivational and keynote speaker, published author, Podcast Host, and Certified Life, Forgiveness, and Grief Coach.

I’ve created The Radical Empowerment Method online course designed to help you get off the sidelines of your life and start living life on YOUR terms.

What market does your online course serve?

My main demographic is women over the age of 40 and beyond. They’ve lived their lives chasing dreams that someone else designed for them. Then they wonder what happened to the dreams they had and they wonder if they can still make big changes in their lives. They’re tired of the cycle of generational trauma and they are here to stop the craziness and begin a new path for themselves and for their families.

What’s the biggest benefit of taking your course?

The biggest benefit of taking The Radical Empowerment Method is creating a new course for your life. We talk about clearing space for what is TRULY important to you. We talk about how to make room for YOUR dreams.

You will learn how to create a physical and emotional environment that is conducive for you to live life on your terms while still loving and serving those around you – without depleting yourself.

We learn how to create happiness in your life and how that happiness creates success.

In short – we change your path to the path YOU create. No more listening to everyone around you on what you SHOULD be doing with your life.

How did you get into the market?

I came up with the idea of this online course after coaching women 1:1. They asked for a place where they could dive into these ideas with a group of women beside them.

In short, my audience asked; I created it.

Why did you decide to create an online course in the first place?

I’ve taken many online courses and the changes in my life were compounded with every course I enrolled in and finished.

I want everyone – and especially women – to understand how truly important and valuable they are. In addition, I want them to have the tools to make the changes they desire. There is a whole world out there waiting for them to step into their power. And I can help them do it; so I created the Radical Empowerment Method – the exact method I used to stop living a life someone else designed for me and begin the life I had dreamed of.

Did you have any moments of doubt before you created/launched it?

Oh definitely! In fact, I tried and tried to push back the date. I thought I couldn’t do it. I thought it would be too hard to create the videos, the worksheets, everything.

If so what made you turn it around and do it anyway?

My business coach simply wouldn’t let me. The date was set and she wasn’t letting me out of it. She is STILL my coach years later.

And now I get to coach women the same – holding them accountable. I do high-level 1:1 coaching in part because I know I would never have moved forward without my coach and being that for other women is more joy than I can even put into words.

Coaches are crucial. In my opinion, everyone should have at least one excellent coach in their lives. At least one.

What’s your online course like?

My online course is divided into modules.

Each module has at least one video, prerecorded.

There is a full workbook for the entire course, broken down into modules.

Three times a year I lead a group of women through the course with 6 weeks of group coaching.

You can also take the course as a stand-alone and then join the group coaching when it launches if you wish.

How long did it take you to create your course?

It took me about 3 months, but that is only because I procrastinated – because I was afraid of failure.

With the idea in mind and the desire to create something amazing – this could be done in a month or maybe less.

I began by writing out the idea of the course.

I then broke it into chapters
After that, I brainstormed the video content and the workbook
I hired a Virtual Assistant to create the workbook

I pushed play on Zoom and recorded the videos
Uploaded them to the platform.

I have since rebranded and we are working on the rebranding sales page now

Tell us a little about the process of launching your course and getting your first sale(s).

I launched my course by running a free challenge for 5 days. On day 5 I launched the program to the women in the group BEFORE launching on Social Media. I got my first sale within an hour – a VIP at that! It was exhilarating – not just because of the sale – but because I knew women were trusting me on a journey and I knew I could deliver.

Do you have a lead magnet?

I use my Unlimited Gratitude course as a lead magnet –

They first sign up for 21 days of gratitude journal prompts and they receive Unlimited Gratitude as my gift. This allows them to see my style of connecting and determine if I am right for them.

What’s the traffic strategy that works best for you?

The Unlimited Gratitude gift strategy is working well.

The best strategy that is working for me is showing up daily – a mix of reels, posts, stories – sharing authentically about why I am so passionate about gratitude, forgiveness, grief, laughter, joy…

This brings traffic to my accounts and then when I launch, they are listening.

It’s a strategy … but it’s more than that to me. I truly want women to know the joy of living life unapologetically as yourself – strong enough to speak up and brave enough to take steps

What online course platform are you using?

I use Member Vault (started with Teachable).

Do you like it?

Yes, I do. It is easy to use, affordable.

Are there any features you wish it had?

Right now it has everything I need.

What made you decide to use your chosen platform over others?

I began with Teachable and the level of support there was and is fabulous. However, I moved to Member Vault at the advice of my Online Business Manager. As I grew and was able to hire out admin duties, it made sense to move to MemberVault.

What other tools do you use to run your online course business?

I use Zoom and Vimeo.

My OBM now creates my branding workbooks.

What books or training programs have you found useful on your journey to a successful business owner that others might find valuable too?

This is a loaded question!

HIRE A COACH – an excellent coach whom you mesh with. Don’t be afraid to interview them. You will know the right one for you.

Do you have any big mistakes you’ve made along the way that you’d be willing to share?

We all make mistakes, for sure.

The biggest mistake was not believing in my ability to make it happen AND not believing in myself enough that I have what others need. The biggest mistakes have been related to my mindset. - Carrie Verrocchio Click To Tweet

The other big mistake is not taking time to take care of ME. You need sleep, water, healthy food, healthy relationships, time off. I didn’t do this for a time and it can be devastating. Pour into yourself while you are creating for others; if you don’t neither party wins.

Please share some idea of revenue.

The first launch of the program was $6,500.

It has grown since then – also added a group coaching program “The Confidence and Clarity Collective “ which brings additional revenue – and we are anticipating a $40K launch in February 2022.

Please tell us a little about what the money you’ve earned from your course has done for you.

By launching this course/business I have been able to leave my corporate job. My husband and I travel and we both drive the cars we love. We were able to move my mom in with us and care for her for 3 years. I was here for her when she transitioned to heaven. My goals include paying off college debt for our kids and helping them start out debt-free.

I am in charge of my schedule and that is truly amazing.

The freedom I gained from following my dreams is what I want for everyone who goes through The Radical Empowerment Method.

In addition to revenue are there any numbers you would like to share?

We are adding people to our email list all the time by offering masterclasses, lead magnets, etc. I am growing my Instagram followers by beginning to focus on reels that teach. The interaction is growing.

It’s being tuned in to the trends … and they change all the time.

What has creating your course done for you personally?

Personally, my own confidence has skyrocketed. I am not afraid to try new things. I’ve published two books (30 Days to Gratitude Journal and The Radical Empowerment Method Book) both available on Amazon. I would not have had the courage to write if I had not created that first course.

I’m creating a Mastermind now – another thing that would not have happened without that first step.

Do you have a story of a transformation from any of your clients?

Two of my clients have recently enrolled in higher education that they have been putting off for years. They both got their acceptance letters this week. Their confidence is exploding, their determination is off the charts.

This is just two of many and the way it makes me feel? It makes me feel grateful – for them, for their success, that I listened to my heart and took the scary leap

What advice do you have for people just starting out? What do you wish you knew before you started?

Just do it. I wish I knew before I started how amazing I would feel seeing others transform. If I had realized that I would not have procrastinated so long before beginning.
