What is Thrive Leads?
Thrive Leads is a WordPress plugin that offers high converting opt-in forms allowing you to build your email list faster. This tool offers a variety of different opt-in forms, advanced targeting, A/B testing, and reporting.
Overview
Who Thrive Leads is For:
Thrive Leads was created for business owners using WordPress who is interested in growing their email list. It’s perfect for online course businesses trying to build up an audience for their courses. If you’re building an email list now and you add Thrive Leads into the mix, you’ll likely see an increase in the number of subscribers due to this tool’s advanced opt-in forms and triggers.
Skill Level:
I had a little difficulty setting up Thrive Leads so I think a first-time user could find it somewhat difficult to use. With some effort, you can get your opt-in forms set-up and since you’ll probably leave them for a while, it’s not something you’ll have to re-visit all the time.
Deployment:
You’ll need to login to your Thrive Leads account and download the WordPress plugin from there. Once that’s done, visit WordPress to set-up your opt-in forms. Everything takes place inside your WordPress dashboard.
Special Features:
Compared to the higher priced recurring subscription tools that do the same thing, Thrive Leads is definitely a deal. In addition, Thrive Leads offers several different types of customizable opt-in forms with advanced triggers like exit triggers, time triggers, scroll triggers, and click triggers. You can also target your opt-in forms to the specific content your reader is viewing (you can set this up by category, tag, or anything else). It’s a very feature-rich tool.
Disadvantages:
As mentioned, it’s tricky to set-up because there are so many options available. At first glance, it may be overwhelming. If you take the time to review the tutorials then you’ll be able to get it working. Thrive Leads only works on WordPress so if you’re using another site builder, you’re out of luck.

Competing Tools
Leadpages is a competitor of Thrive Leads. Leadpages will work with any site builder (including WordPress) and offers opt-in forms as well as a landing page builder. It does however, come with a monthly fee which works out to be more expensive than the yearly fee for Thrive Leads. Sumo is another competitor which helps you build higher converting opt-in forms. Sumo has a free and paid version (which also has a monthly fee). Thrive leads is definitely the least expensive option for creating high converting opt-in forms.
