What is AWeber?

Our content is reader supported, which means when you buy from links you click on, we may earn a commission.

AWeber is an email marketing solution allowing you to build your audience. This tool offers sign-up and pop-up forms to help you collect email addresses from your site and social accounts. It also offers you the ability to tag subscribers and follow up with the content they want next.

Overview

Who AWeber is For:

AWeber works great for any small business owner looking to grow their list of subscribers. Course creators can use this tool to collect email addresses, send email follow-up sequences, and send out broadcasts all from one interface.

Skill Level:

You really don’t need any special skills to use AWeber. Although it may not be as intuitive as other email marketing tools, they offer training and support to help you get set-up as quickly as possible.

Deployment:

You’ll login to AWeber from your online account dashboard. You can also choose to install 3 different mobile apps that will keep you updated with stats and even send curated email newsletters from on the go.

Special Features:

AWeber is one of the oldest email marketing tools around. If you’re looking for stability and a great, solid product, then this might be the best choice for you. I used AWeber back before most any of the other tools in this tools list were around. I switched for the power of Infusionsoft, but AWeber is known for it’s reliability and email deliverability rates.

Disadvantages:

From my perspective, AWeber is not as fun to use as other tools like ConvertKit. Not that sending emails has to be fun, but if the dashboard is at all clanky or confusing then you may not spend as much time sending your emails out which will result in lower profits for you. In addition, AWeber is pretty much a workhorse focusing on a few core features. There’s nothing wrong with that. If you just want a basic email marketing tool then it offers everything you need. It has not expanded its feature set like GetReponse has.

Competing Tools

GetResponse and ConvertKit are two other tools I recommend that offer the same feature set as AWeber. You should pick which one you want to use based on the interface each offers as well as pricing for your list size.
