Who are you and what course have you created?
I am a life coach whose primary focus is helping others design their meaningful life. I achieve this through various formats, such as workshops, group coaching, and 1:1 coaching sessions. I developed The Life Architekture Coaching Program to address the four pillars of life: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual, using a holistic approach.
My background includes:
- A Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Germany
- Certification as a Consultant of Psychology with an emphasis on Individual Psychology
- A 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training completed in India.
What market does your online course serve?
The Life Architekture program is tailored for individuals who, despite achieving a certain level of success, still feel a deep sense of discontentment. It provides them with the tools to align their purpose, overcome limitations, and create a truly fulfilling and meaningful life.
What’s the biggest benefit of taking your course?
Living a life driven by purpose and meaning that brings a sense of fulfillment. When combined with the heightened level of consciousness we aim to cultivate in the program, participants are better equipped to navigate challenges, envision a brighter future, and remain fully present in the here and now.
How did you get into the market?
This program is the program I needed in my own life. It emphasizes focusing on all pillars of life and consciously building a robust foundation. Through my interactions with people from around the world, I’ve realized that we all face similar fundamental challenges, though they may manifest differently. For instance, in the East, people might use whitening lotions, while in the West, they might opt for tanning sprays. Just to illustrate, both could stem from the underlying challenge of not accepting oneself and seeking approval from others. This understanding prompted me to create an online program, allowing us to systematically address these core challenges, ensuring changes are made at the root level rather than merely addressing surface symptoms.
Why did you decide to create an online course in the first place?
I designed the program to make it as accessible as possible for the clients.
Did you have any moments of doubt before you created/launched it?
Absolutely. I’ve experienced imposter syndrome. However, through the practice of observing oneself without judgment and viewing situations with compassionate eyes, I’ve been able to offer myself patience and understanding, recognizing that fears and doubts are all part of the human experience.
If so what made you turn it around and do it anyway?
After acknowledging those feelings and emotions, I stayed true to my vision and mission and launched the program. Just like all of us, this program grows and improves every day, provided we make a conscious effort. It evolves with those who participate in it.
What’s your online course like?
It is a hybrid version. The resources are provided in the form of a PDF workbook, live action explanation videos, live 1:1 coaching sessions, and live meditation.
How long did it take you to create your course?
It took me a little more than a year to develop this program because I wanted to offer everything I believe will help individuals build their own meaningful lives. This includes prioritizing physical health. To address this aspect, I chose yoga as the medium. I traveled to India to study yoga, gathered experience in teaching, and have now incorporated it into the Life Architekture program. Moreover, I constantly revisit and refine the course, wanting it to be the best it can be, encapsulating all I can offer. This ensures that the program will continue to grow and evolve alongside my own learning and teaching journey.
Tell us a little about the process of launching your course and getting your first sale(s).
In the past years, I started coaching friends and family, and through word of mouth, I expanded my reach. Meanwhile, I earned a certification in psychology and became a coach for other coaches at university. Often, a few sessions with each client were enough to solve a specific problem they had.
A big change happened in June 2023, when I launched my website and social media. This allowed me to connect with more people and share my thoughts on mental health, mindfulness, personal growth, emotional intelligence, relationships, and general well-being.
With the website, I also created a unique 3-month program. Instead of focusing on one problem, we look at your whole life and try to help you find your true purpose and values. This program combines all my knowledge and experience through a holistic body-and-mind approach, and includes specific workbooks, video trainings, 1:1 coaching sessions, yoga and breathing exercises, and constant support if necessary.
Do you have a lead magnet?
We offer a 100% money-back guarantee because I firmly believe that the best understanding comes from personal experience. This allows clients to fully immerse themselves in the program, and if they are not satisfied within the first 10 days, they can request a complete refund. To date, no one has taken advantage of this offer, which speaks volumes about the quality of the program.
What’s the traffic strategy that works best for you?
Through our blog, we aim to explain psychology, personal development, mindfulness, and related topics in simple terms as these subjects can often be challenging and intimidating for complete beginners. We provide actionable steps to recognize certain issues and how to implement solutions in daily life.
These blog posts often complement the teachings I share in my coaching sessions or what our clients can study independently. They serve as a first step for those who wish to learn more about themselves, their behaviors, emotions, feelings… and want to improve their lives. If they desire additional support and wish to take it a step further, I can offer them personalized coaching through our program.
What online course platform are you using?
Shopify
Do you like it?
Shopify is user-friendly, especially for building purposes. You can easily customize your store using a custom theme, various content blocks like pictures, banners, FAQs, and side-by-side layouts… by using the drag-and-drop feature, or add some basic coding if needed. Their support is very responsive when we have any questions or issues. Lastly, Shopify enjoys a reputation as a reputable brand for website building and hosting. Their payment processing is straightforward and safe for our clients to use.
Are there any features you wish it had?
Let’s put it this way: Shopify is primarily an e-commerce platform designed for selling physical products. For our current needs, we’ve managed to customize our website adequately, so it’s not much a problem. However, in the future, it might become limiting as we expand our products lines towards more coaching services, online bookings, ebooks… I would appreciate from Shopify more in-depth resources and integration specifically tailored to coaching-based businesses and the sale of digital products. That’s why transitioning to a more customizable platform like WordPress could be the best option down the line as we begin to grow larger.
What made you decide to use your chosen platform over others?
We’ve been testing an app that we plan to implement later. It’s designed to host all our coaching materials, videos, workbooks, meetings… on the website through a personal customer log-in/page. This way, everything happens through the website. Generally, we don’t use many apps. Firstly, there’s not much need for them at present. Secondly, they often tend to slow down the website speed, and loading speed is critical, particularly when potential clients visit.
For now, our main product is a coaching service that can only be booked through an initial consultation call. Thus, our funnel is a bit different compared to other e-commerce businesses, since there’s no direct product to purchase directly.
What other tools do you use to run your online course business?
Zoom
What books or training programs have you found useful on your journey to a successful business owner that others might find valuable too?
Contents from Alex Hormozi have been very helpful
Do you have any big mistakes you’ve made along the way that you’d be willing to share?
Focusing heavily on Marketing and less of the client experience and the product.
Please tell us a little about what the money you’ve earned from your course has done for you.
Currently, coaching provides just enough for me to live normally, although it’s less than what I used to earn as a manager. To supplement my income when needed, I still offer yoga and dance classes or workshops. My website and social media only launched two months ago. We are still in the building phase and expect to see some results in the next 6 to 12 months.
Building a brand, establishing trust, an online presence, and a community takes time and patience, especially when starting from scratch. - Bayu Prihandito Click To TweetWe focus on doing our best today with what we have and let the results come to us in due time.
What has creating your course done for you personally?
It gives me joy because I know that I am giving my best to give value for others through the medium that I feel fits me the best with my natural interest and talent. - Bayu Prihandito Click To TweetDo you have a story of a transformation from any of your clients?
I had a client who lacked self-esteem, despite performing exceptionally well. He received promotions and recognition from others, yet he struggled to appreciate himself and his achievements. Through our coaching sessions, he discovered that his low self-esteem originated from his upbringing, where his family held high standards for him. As a result, his accomplishments were seen as normal expectations, receiving no appreciation for his efforts. On the other hand, when he didn’t meet the high targets, he faced punishment. Together, we worked on accepting his flaws and acknowledging his efforts. By the end of our coaching sessions, he became more self-aware and learned to prioritize his needs instead of blindly pursuing goals set by others.
What advice do you have for people just starting out?
There are things that we can control and things we can’t control. Effort, consistency, and persistence are within our control, but the results are not.
Focus on what you can control, keep learning, and continue to grow and may the best results will come to fruition. - Bayu Prihandito Click To TweetLearn more about Bayu Prihandito of lifearchitekture.com:
